Health Promotion Provisions are law

J. Michael McGinnis,MD, MPP HPA Advisory Board

J. Michael McGinnis,MD, MPP. is Senior Scholar at the Institute of Medicine in the The National Academies (of Science). Previously, he was counselor to the president of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In this role, he works with DC based organizations on health issues. He was also previous Vice President of RWJ's Health Programs and provided support to groups like Rsearch!America, Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, and National Coalition to Promote Physical Activity and others. Prior to working with RWJ, worked with the World Bank, WHO and was Deputy deputy assistant secretary for health and assistant surgeon general in the Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton Administrations.
